RISK! is a live show and podcast “where people tell true stories they never thought they’d dare to share in public” hosted by Kevin Allison, of the legendary TV sketch comedy troupe The State. The award-winning live show happens monthly in New York and Los Angeles. It’s featured people like Janeane Garofalo, Lisa Lampanelli, Kevin Nealon, Margaret Cho, Marc Maron, Sarah Silverman, Lili Taylor, Rachel Dratch, Andy Borowitz and more, dropping the act and showing a side of themselves we’ve never seen before. The weekly podcast gets hundreds of thousands of downloads each month. Slate.com called it “jaw-dropping, hysterically funny, and just plain touching.”

John Early
John Early
John Early is a comedian who wrote, created, and starred in a critically acclaimed miniseries for Vimeo called 555 with frequent collaborator Kate Berlant, directed by Andrew DeYoung. He also wrote, executive produced, and starred in his own episode of Netflix's THE CHARACTERS. John has appeared on TV in WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, 30 ROCK, BROAD CITY, DIFFICULT PEOPLE, HIGH MAINTENANCE, LOVE, PORTLANDIA, HATERS BACK OFF, and ANIMALS and in the films OTHER PEOPLE, NEIGHBORS 2, and FORT TILDEN. He plays Elliott in SEARCH PARTY on TBS and will soon appear in the films FUN MOM DINNER, BEATRIZ AT DINNER written by Mike White and THE DISASTER ARTIST opposite Sharon Stone. He was a writer for Season 4 of BILLY ON THE STREET. While in New York, he was an Artist in Residence and Comedy Curator at Ars Nova, where he hosted the variety show Showgasm. He performed his solo show Literally Me (4 time New York Times Critics' Pick) at Joe's Pub and The Bell House, and co-hosted a weekly stand up show at Cake Shop. He has performed stand up at various comedy festivals including Montreal Just For Laughs, Bonnaroo, South by Southwest, Pemberton, Treasure Island, Outside Lands, Riot LA, and Festival Supreme. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee and is a graduate of the Atlantic Acting School at Tisch School of the Arts NYU.
Janelle James
Janelle James is a Caribbean born comic who started doing standup in the midwest. Moving to the midwest was such a jarring experience that Janelle, already a person prone to melodramatic mood swings quickly fell down a hole into deep depression. A chance conversation with a neighbor about a local open mic led to Janelle trying to reap the benefits of talk therapy without the bills (or therapist) and trying her hand at stand up comedy. Janelle's stand up is a mix of raunch, family life and morbid thoughts about depression and aging. She has featured all over the midwest and NYC in such places as The Jukebox Comedy Club, NY Comedy Club and The Knitting Factory. She was a top three finalist in both the 2011 Laugh Comedy Competition and the 2012 Jukebox Comedy Competition. Janelle has also traveled extensively as the feature act with veteran comics and performed at the 2013 Bridgetown and Limestone comedy festivals.. When not performing, Janelle can be found tweeting the boredom away @janellejcomic or complaining to anyone who'll listen about how having kids makes it so much harder to move into a van and live the glamorous life of a road comic.
Tracey Segarra
Tracey Segarra launched her career in New York City as a reporter and editor for local newspapers and national wire services, interviewing assorted politicians, celebrities and criminals. She now heads up marketing for a professional services firm. She is a 2-time Moth StorySlam winner, a Moth GrandSlam champion and the host of a new storytelling show on Long Island, "Now You're Talking!"
