    50 First Jokes NYC returns to The Bell House once again on January 6th! "50 Comics. One Mega Show. 1st New Joke of the New Year!" - That's been the logline that defines this very special party show, celebrating the massively talented stand up comedy scene in this City. A mixture of established NYC comedians along with the best and brightest up-and-comers share the stage to present the 1st new joke they've written since The Ball has dropped. This fun, fast and loose show is a favorite amongst audience and comedians alike.

    According to the Comedy Central Insider Blog, "John F. O'Donnell is one of the more explosive comics in New York City. On stage, he's like a tightly capped liter of soda filled with lit fireworks." John has performed at a number of comedy festivals around the country and beyond, including The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The New York Comedy Festival, The San Francisco Comedy Festival, and The New Orleans Hell Yes Festival. He's been featured in the New York Times and the LA Times. He's been a favorite guest on the popular podcasts Keith and The Girl, You Made It Weird w/ Pete Holmes, You Had To Be There w/ Nikki & Sara, and Skeptic Tank w/ Ari Shaffir.     Anna Drezen
    Anna Drezen is an actor, comedian, and writer working in New York. She has been featured on MTVu, the front page of CollegeHumor, Funny or Die, WitStream, Thought Catalog, Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, and SplitSider. She has performed at Joe's Pub, the UCB, the PIT, the Del Close Marathon, and the Out of Bounds and Women in Comedy Festivals. The hotel blog she co-writes, "How May We Hate You?" is being developed as a book with Clarkson Potter and has been optioned for a pilot with Universal TV. Anna is the associate editor of Reductress, a fake women's magazine (Forbes, "100 Best Websites for Women"). At the UCB, Anna hosts Open Michelle and writes for the Livia Scott Sketch Program. She's a regular panelist on the WBUR show "You're The Expert" which is taped live at colleges and venues across the country. Anna's also a member of the touring company of the Story Pirates, a non-profit that performs hilarious stories written by kids.     Christi Chiello
    Armed with a seriously quirky voice, an intense musical theatre background and a ridiculous love for all things pop culture; CHRISTI CHIELLO disarms you with cuteness while slinging her unique brand of dark and absurd humor. She is fresh-faced, fearless and quickly becoming one of New York City's fastest rising comics.


    Christi Chiello is a New York City-based stand up comedian, actress & voice over artist. She has been featured in Time Out NY and The Village Voice. Christi made her television debut this year on MTV's Girl Code and is a regular guest on MNN's The Special Without Brett Davis. Christi has appeared in numerous comedy festivals including the New York Comedy Festival, the Brooklyn Comedy Festival and the Women in Comedy Festival. You can hear Christi on WFMU radio station and on the hugely popular Keith and the Girl comedy podcast where she recently received the KATG award for "Best New Guest." Christi has competed in several roast battles including Brian Moses & Jeffrey Ross's RoastMaster Championship at The Stand. Christi is the Creek and the Cave award winner for "Best Girl" and she performs every night at major clubs and alt rooms in New York City.

    Christi is a cast member on the popular talking-head web series ASKHOLES and the comedy web series SEEING OTHER PEOPLE. ACTORS a show she co-created with Lorelei Ramirez was directed by Julio Torres and just finished it's popular 2 month run at The Annoyance Theatre in Brooklyn. Christi is also a new cast member of the very popular Livia Scott Sketch Show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Chelsea. The NY Times said LSSP is, "fast becoming one of the best and most imaginative shows in the city." Christi is also a contributing writer for SparkLife and you can hear some of her outrageous voices in the upcoming animation project from Lady Parts Justice featuring Lea Delaria & Ally Sheedy.

    Erik Bergstrom is a comedian and illustrator who lives in New York city. His cartoons have appeared in The New Yorker. His book Grimmer Tales has been released with Plume, an imprint of Penguin Books. He followed the presidential election for Comedy Central's Indecision 2012. He's been featured on MTV, VH1, in the New York Post, AM New York, Boston's Weekly Dig, boingboing.net, and more.

    Jo Firestone
    Jo Firestone is a comedian and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. She creates and hosts several live shows around the city that usually fall under the genres of "low-brow" "recurring" "Brooklyn events". She can also be seen at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater hosting The Incredible Game Show Showcase and improvising with the Lloyd Team, Witch. Jo performs stand-up throughout the city, as well. You can listen to Jo every Monday night from 7-8pm EST hosting Dr. Gameshow on WFMU.

    Joe Pera does stand-up comedy in New York City and tells jokes about girls and chain restaurants. He is also a freelance journalist and by that he means he submits articles to Better Home and Garden Magazine's monthly "Gardening Goofs" contest. He thinks it would be great to someday get his heirloom tomato story published and win $50.

    Julio Torres
    Julio Torres
    Julio Torres is a Brooklyn-based comedian who moved to NYC from El Salvador to study literature at the New School. He has since parlayed his short story and play writing into stand-up, most recently making him a Comedy Central Comic to Watch and part of the StandUp NBC College Tour. Julio performs at venues big and small including UCB, The Annoyance, StandupNY, Carolines (which he's headlined)and Ars Nova, where he debuted his solo show "Julio Torres: Space Prince." Julio and friend Joe Rumrill co-host "Fresh Perspectives," a popular monthly comedy show in Williamsburg. Julio also writes and performs sketches with creative partner Lena Einbinder.

    Liza Treyger is from the former Soviet Union where jokes aren't allowed so she moved to America and has been telling jokes in Chicago and loving it. For close to two years she was creator and co-producer of one of Chicago's most loved weekly showcases, Riot Comedy. In the past year she's been able to travel the country performing with her friends and heroes in amazing venues and prestigious and super fun festivals like The Bridgetown Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs Chicago.

    Matt is currently staffed as a writer on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. He has also written for IFC's Onion News Network, GSN's The Newlywed Game, Comedy Central's Tosh.0 blog, and was a recurring panelist on The History Channel series I Love the 1880s. As a stand-up comedian, Matt can be seen on the forthcoming season of Adam DeVine's House Party on Comedy Central. He has toured with such names as John Oliver and Mike Lawrence and can be seen regularly in New York at the Comic Strip, UCB Theater, and Littlefield.

    In 2010, Matt won Time Out New York's Joke of the Year contest and his web series with colleague Dan McCoy, 9am Meeting, won Best Animated Pilot at the New York Television Festival. In 2012, Matt wrote and starred in The Matt Koff Show, a live sketch show directed by UCB's Will Hines.

    Matt currently lives in Brooklyn, NY without a wife, kids, or even so much as a pet. Pretty sad stuff.

    Matteo Lane is a New York-based comedian, originally from Chicago who is currently appearing on MTV2's Guy Code.

    Before starting stand up, Matteo lived in Italy as an oil painter and Opera singer. After realizing that he can’t become Maria Callas, Matteo began telling jokes to strangers in dark rooms. Matteo has performed in the TBS Just for Laughs Festival, has been heard on SiriusXM and “Keith and the Girl,” and co-hosts a monthly variety show at the Creek and the Cave.

    Mike Recine is a funny, nice person who is sometimes awkward and anxious. He started comedy in Jersey at the age of 18 in 2006 and mostly performed for his very large Italian family. Since moving to New York in 2007 Mike has headlined top venues around the city and country. In 2010 he was nominated for Time Out New York's '~Joke of the Year' and an ECNY award for '~Best Emerging Comic' . Most recently, he was selected to perform in the '~New Faces Showcase' at the 2011 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Mike works really hard on his jokes and on being likeable. He owns 5 pellet guns and is happy to give you one.

    Nick Turner made his television debut this year, performing stand up on "Late night with Jimmy Fallon." Nick has also performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival as a "New Face," earning a spot on the "Best of Fest" showcase. Other festivals he performed in this year include SXSW, The New York Comedy Festival and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival.

    When he's not catching a nap with his bulldog pup Rickles, Sean Donnelly can be found performing nightly in clubs all over NYC and venues up and down the East Coast. In New York he hasperformed at Gotham Comedy Club, Carolines, Comix & Stand Up NY. Festivals: New York Comedy Festival and Magners' Comedy Festival (Boston-2011 finalist) as well as the Bridgetown Comedy Fesitival in Portland. Television appearances: World of Jenks (MTV), Red Eye (Fox News). In addition to performing, Sean produces and hosts a weekly stand up show in Brooklyn. He has been featured in The New York Post & Time-Out NY. Most recently Sean made it to the final four in Carolines March Comedy Madness.

    Seaton Smith is an actor and comedian who you may know from his role as "Motif" on FOX'S Mulaney. Vulture named him one of The 50 Comedians You Should Know in 2015, and he brought his skills to late-night with an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. He has headlined shows across the country, performed at over 200 college campuses, as well as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.
