Before days of protest spilled into the streets and families were divided by their stance on a controversial war, before the airwaves channeled ballads of dissent, there was Buddy Holly, the drive-in, and the sock hop. Until February 3, 1959, when the dreams of bobby-soxers and teenage greasers went down with their idols in a flaming plane crash.

Brought to you by the producers of "Lolo and the Midnight Cabaret" and Kae Burke of The House of Yes, THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED whisks you away on a fantastic journey to a time long past. Through vibrant performance and timeless music, this bold new cabaret and variety show explores transitions in American history and culture, from the innocence of late 1950's to the tumultuous early 1960's and the birth of the feminist and the civil rights movements.

Inspired by the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper on what became known as "The Day the Music Died," this special evening features performances by songwriter and arranger Phil Andrews of Apocalypse Five & Dime, the awe-inspiring aerial and burlesque performers of The Lady Circus, transcendent vocalist XAVIER, dynamic dance troupe, "The Good to Go Girls," and many more.
