Kim, Kelley, Josephine, Jim, and Breeders' violinist Carrie Bradley will perform the album live at select shows and festivals in the U.S. and Europe through 2013, playing together for the first time since 1994. The tour is in support of the release of LSXX, a deluxe edition of Last Splash, on 4AD.
At the center of the album is the infectiously appealing, instantly recognizable "Cannonball," which, propelled in part by the video directed by Kim Gordon and Spike Jonze, was voted Single of the Year by the NME , and declared "one of the best pop songs of the nineties" by the UK's Drowned in Sound. Pitchfork said of Last Splash, "...anyone open-minded to experimentation and the advancement of the form reveled in its brilliant, boundary-breaking melodies. Even its B-sides are classic."
