Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival 2017
Founded in 2008 by Julie Smith Clem and Eugene Mirman, The Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival is the world’s first sincere-and-ironic comedy festival that celebrates a close-knit comedy community, while making fun of the trappings of mainstream festival programming.
Some comedians are unwise enough to breed - and on this night, they will mine the fallout of that decision on stage. None of the children of the performers are likely to be present, which is a good thing, because they're probably gonna say really mean things about them.
H. Jon Benjamin
Born in Worcester, MA, H. Jon Benjamin has garnered an extensive list of credits as a writer, producer and actor in some of television's most entertaining series. Along with his role on BOB'S BURGERS, Benjamin is the voice of "Sterling Archer" on "Archer," which garnered him a 2010 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance. Benjamin also produced and starred in the cable comedy series "Jon Benjamin Has a Van."
Benjamin provided the voice of "Dr. Katz's" lazy son, "Ben," in the animated series "Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist" from 1995-1999. In 2006, he and David Cross co-created the animated series "Freak Show." Benjamin also teamed up with Demetri Martin as a writer and co-producer of "Important Things with Demetri Martin."
Other credits include "Home Movies," FAMILY GUY, "Assy McGee," "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" and "The Venture Bros."
Eugene Mirman is a comedian, actor and hero who lives in Massachusetts. He voices “Gene” on Fox’s Emmy Award winning animated series Bob’s Burgers and hosts the Audible podcast, Hold On. He appeared regularly on Flight of the Conchords, Adult Swim’s Delocated, and Archer, and has two standup comedy specials on Comedy Central. His latest comedy special is available on Netflix. Eugene is also a frequent co-host of Neil deGrasse Tyson’s science/ comedy show, StarTalk. His fifth comedy album, I’m Sorry (You’re Welcome), is available from Sub Pop Records in multiple formats — a 9 Volume Digital Set, 7LPs, a chair, and a robe.
Star and resident nerd of MTV's "Guy Code," "Girl Code," and "Guy Court", Jordan Carlos has officially become "that dude from that thing." Jordan's other credits include Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham," "The Colbert Report," "Nurse Jackie," and the "Broad City" series produced & directed by Amy Poehler. College Humor's go-to Obama, Jordan can also be counted on for a presidential impression with over a million YouTube clicks and counting.
[Mills'] hidden elegance lies in the twist of lovesick metaphor, the wistful chord, the revisionist take on the slamming door. – NME
