Ring in the Resistance: #GetOrganizedBK Fundraiser for 2018 Political Work

join #GetOrganizedBK Civic Activism as we "Ring in the Resistance" on Thursday, December 21, 8-11 p.m. Our resistance-themed holiday party at The Bell House will be a night of music, dancing, drinks, comedy, and a chance to mingle with fellow activists, progressive candidates, and resistance organizations.. Performers include Will Butler from Arcade Fire, Jo Firestone, Aparna Nancherla, and more.

All proceeds will go to our 2018 political work to take back the U.S. House of Representatives, the New York State Senate, and our country in 2018.

Tickets are $50 (please contribute more if you can!) and will support the following 2018 efforts:

  • Take Back the House: Four Congressional candidate nominee funds, which will support the eventual Democratic nominee in the general election, in competitive Congressional races in NYS (NY-1, NY-2, NY-11, NY-19)

  • Take Back the NYS Senate: New York Progressive Action Network (NYPAN), which is working with #GOBK Civic Activism's TrueBlueNY group to defeat the “Independent Democrat Conference” (the fake-Dems who caucus with Republicans) and return control of the New York State Senate to the Democrats

  • Take Back the Country: Make the Road Action, which is working to build power and fight for electoral change in low-income and immigrant communities across the country

When you purchase a ticket, ActBlue will default to split your contribution evenly between these groups; if you prefer, you can allocate it among them as you choose.

After you buy your ticket, please help spread the word to friends by e-mail and social media.

Please reach out to getorganizedbk@gmail.com with any questions or concerns. We can’t wait to Ring in the Resistance together!
