Join author, host, and A.C.L.U. immigration ambassador Padma Lakshmi for a night of comedy and activism, featuring sets from a curated list of comedians who are *not* Louis C.K. The evening will benefit the Movement Voter Project (https://movement.vote/), a progressive organization that helps donors - big and small - support local community-based campaigns, with a focus on youth and communities of color.

Currently a correspondent on 'The Daily Show w/ Trevor Noah', Roy has been described by the Hollywood Reporter as "A Standout", and Entertainment Weekly called his brand of thought provoking comedy as "charismatic crankiness". In 2016 'Variety' magazine named him one of 10 Comics to watch.

Prior to 'The Daily Show' Roy spent three years on the TBS' sitcom, Sullivan and Son. And is still a regular on

He's currently a regular on 'Conan', ESPN's 'SportsNation' & Comedy Central's @Midnight.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Roy began his comedy career in 1998 at the age of 19 while attending Florida A&M University. He went on to make his television debut in 2006 on The Late Show with David Letterman. and finished third in the 2010 season of Last Comic Standing.

He's also appeared on HBO's Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central's Premium Blend and The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson

Prior to this he also appeared at the 2006 Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in the "New Faces Showcase". In 2006, Wood appeared on the Bob and Tom Radio Show: The Comedy Tour on Comedy Central.

Also a veteran of radio (2001-2012) Roy's morning show took home awards from the Alabama Broadcasters association for 'Best Large Market Morning Show'.

Wood has recorded three nationally-released prank call CD's: My Momma Made Me Wear This (2003), Confessions of a High School Bench Warmer (2005) and I'll Slap You to Sleep! (2009). And has recently released his first comedy CD Things I think, I think (2013)

Jo Firestone is a Brooklyn-based comedian whose work can be seen on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Joe Pera Talks With You, The Chris Gethard Show, and heard on Earwolf and WFMU. Her half hour special aired on Comedy Central in 2016, and her album, "The Hits" is available now on Comedy Central Records. John Early is a comedian who wrote, created, and starred in the critically acclaimed miniseries 555 for Vimeo with frequent collaborator Kate Berlant, directed by Andrew DeYoung. He also wrote, executive produced, and starred in his own episode of Netflix's THE CHARACTERS. John plays Elliot in SEARCH PARTY on TBS, and has also appeared on TV in WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, 30 ROCK, BROAD CITY, DIFFICULT PEOPLE, HIGH MAINTENANCE, LOVE, PORTLANDIA, HATERS BACK OFF and ANIMALS, and in the films THE DISASTER ARTIST opposite Sharon Stone, BEATRIZ AT DINNER, OTHER PEOPLE, NEIGHBORS 2, FUN MOM DINNER and FORT TILDEN. He was also a writer for Season 4 of BILLY ON THE STREET. While in New York, he was an Artist in Residence and Comedy Curator at Ars Nova, where he hosted the variety show Showgasm. He performed his solo show Literally Me (4 time New York Times Critics' Pick) to sold out crowds at Joe's Pub and The Bell House, and co-hosted a weekly stand up show at Cake Shop. John currently hosts a monthly variety show in Los Angeles at The Satellite. He has performed stand up at various comedy festivals including Montreal’s Just For Laughs, Bonnaroo, South by Southwest, Pemberton, Treasure Island, Outside Lands, Riot LA, and Festival Supreme. John was also named one of Variety’s Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2017. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee and is a graduate of the Atlantic Acting School at Tisch School of the Arts NYU.

Catherine Cohen
Catherine Cohen is a comedian, actor, voiceover artist, and poet living in Brooklyn. She performs on a house team at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and hosts the monthly variety show It's A Guy Thing at Union Hall, which was listed as one of Paste Magazine’s “10 Best Alt Comedy Shows in New York City." Her work has been featured on Splitsider, The New Yorker, The Huffington Post, New York Mag's The Cut, The Brooklyn Comedy Festival, and The New York Comedy Festival. Larry is a performer, writer, director, and comedian residing in New York City.

He is a staff writer on upcoming TruTV show Paid Off, where the winner of each show will receive full student loan debt relief. Awesome!

Larry recently completed his first feature film, To Dust, opposite Matthew Broderick. Named one of TimeOutNY's "comedians we're obsessed with " Larry studied drama and improvisation at the School at Steppenwolf.
